In C&C 3-4 - Kane speeds up the growth of tiberium *1 - tricking the aliens (Scrin) to come to earth to set up harvest portal to their world. In C&C 1-2 : We are led to believe this tiberium - is a gift to humans to grant us more power and create alien tech.But we never knew the material we seek, is our enviable doom. But unknown - another alien race (Scrin) seeded a plant in our soils called tiberium - which in time would grow and cover the entire planet - those killing all life on on earth. But Now I understand - Kane - an alien came to earth thousand of years ago - he's only goal was to get away from Earth, so he helped Humans to evolve, and create better tech.
