It’s meant to showcase a kind of warfare that takes place not on traditional battlefields but spread out throughout small encounters in the world around us. Where the campaign is concerned, they’ve promised us a mature look at what modern warfare looks like in 2019, with tough decisions and the gray moral areas that were so important to the game back with the original Modern Warfare series. The developers have promised us a couple of things.
This thing is meant to bring the series back to the types of gameplay that made it a phenomenon in the first place, with returning characters like Captain Price. This series has been all over the place in recent years, from sci-fi to World War 2, with a jaunt into a battle royale and the usual continuous helpings of zombies.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare comes out on October 25, 2019, taking the usual series spot at the center of fall release season.
